Dahlia Pompon Ball Mix Flowers for Annual Garden Planting

The Pompon Dahlia Mix features ball-shaped, origami-like blooms in cheerful yellows, oranges, and pinks, making it perfect for patio plantings, tabletop bouquets, and walkway welcome flowers. To plant, fill a pot or seed tray with moist seed compost and lightly firm the surface. Gently push the dahlia seeds into the compost, remembering to label them. Cover the pots with an inflated clear polythene bag, held in place with a rubber band. If sown in seed trays, cover with a propagator lid.

Seedlings will germinate within a couple of weeks, and once the 'true' leaves have grown, they are ready to be transplanted into individual 10 cm (4'') pots filled with multipurpose compost. When transplanting, hold the plants by their leaves and gently tease them out of the soil. Firm the soil and water well.

In mid-May, harden off the plants by standing them outdoors during the day and bringing them in at night. Once all risk of frost has passed, plant them in their final positions. The resulting plants will provide a wonderful mixture of different flower shapes and colors.

The package includes about 30 seeds, and instructions in English are included. The Pompon Dahlia Mix is suitable for growing in USDA Hardiness Zones 3-11 and is a species of Dahlia pinnata, with a germination rate of 90-95%.
